Nzioka Waita is a seasoned technocrat, entrepreneur, and public servant committed to building a Machakos that works for everyone. Born and raised in Kenya, he has served in various key government positions, including Chief of Staff & Head of Presidential Delivery Unit , as well as leadership roles in public agencies like Safaricom and TEAMS Limited .
As Machakos gears up for the 2027 elections, Waita is determined to transform our city into a hub of innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development. His vision is rooted in transparency, accountability, and service-driven leadership that prioritizes the needs of all Machakos residents.
Nzioka Waita leads the Masaku Mbee Movement, whose primary focus is to put the interests of Machakos Residents and Machakos County First, and serves as Machakos County patron for the movement. He has publicly signalled his intent to run for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in the 2027 general election under the Masaku Mbee banner.

Completed in 2015. His time at Queen Mary honed his strategic thinking and global perspective on governance and economic development. The rigorous program equipped him with advanced Computer and Communications skills and a deep understanding of public policy implementation.

Graduated in 1999 with honors from one of the world's premier institutions. At Sheffield, he engaged in initiatives like the Sheffield University Law Forum, developing early leadership skills and a passion for transformative change that would later define his career in public service.

Safaricom
Nzioka Waita joined Safaricom in 2001 and thereafter rose steadily through the ranks to serve the company in various capacities. Between 2003-2015 Waita was a founding Trustee of the Safaricom Foundation and served in that capacity for 11 years. The trust was established by Trust Deed in August 2003
